Where do I start? 2024 has been an INCREDIBLE first year for The Brokers' Bible, presenting an even greater learning curve for me as I explored (and fumbled through) the realms of IT and AI. A big thank you to Broker Daily for the amazing article that captures the passion, drive, and motivation fueling this platform, alongside my commitment to serving the broking community. (see below link). I ended  the year on an absolute  high, being named a finalist for FOUR industry Leader awards for the upcoming Advisor Better business Summit.

Looking ahead, 2025 promises to be another thrilling (and I'm sure frustrating and scary BUT super exciting) year of growth and development for The Brokers' Bible’ with a strong emphasis on delivering genuine value to support brokers' businesses throughout Australia. I am dedicated to offering time-saving efficiencies, essential education, and vital business resources that truly make a difference in your everyday work.

I sincerely thank everyone who has supported and encouraged this platform thus far. The journey has NOT been easy—there's a lot happening behind the scenes every single day to foster continuous development and innovation—but your encouragement in my vision keeps me inspired. To our fantastic members: your constructive feedback is invaluable and plays a crucial role in refining our services to better meet your needs.

My goals are set for this year, and as always, you—the brokers—are at the core of everything I do. Not only am I introducing an exciting new feature (something unprecedented!), but I'm also partnering with some of the industry's leading figures to provide essential education through webinars, live events, courses, and so much more. 🎯

Policy Updates You Need To Know

HEM and Serviceability -Be aware - Effective 13 January, the HEM figures on some banks servicing calculator will be adjusted to reflect the latest CPI/inflation data.

Granite -From January 24th 2025, can no longer accept NDIS securities properties.

Think Tank -New Self-Declared Income option for SMSF lending! (awaiting more details from the BDM sorry!!)

NAB- Multi Offsets coming soon! Watch this space in Feb as we get more details. Some of you and your customers have seen the updates in NABApp.

Advantedge and NAB -Recap from last year announcement on December 13^th !! They will now accept 1 year Tax Returns with confirmation of lodgement for all self-employed entities up to 80% LVR. Confirmation of lodgement can be either an Accountants letter, ATO portal lodgement receipt or the Notice of Assessment.  This policy applies to income being generated by Sole Traders, Partnerships, Companies & Trusts, with borrowings and securities held in individual names. Existing self employed income verification policies still apply.

MyState Bank - New Common debt reducer Policy Details (released in December to market). Common Debt Reducer is limited to spousal relationships only and where both parties live at the same address. There is an apportioning of expenses – similar to the Westpac Group. Jump into The Brokers’ Bible for full details.
